Inner Sanctum Symposium 2015 - Dates Announced!

I am pleased to announce that The Inner Sanctum Symposium on Infinite Possibilities will take place on April 9th-12th, 2015 at Isis Oasis, to enable Convocation goers to attend (last year's dates were chosen by Loreon, and were so close to Burning Man and Convo that people felt they had to make a choice between the events). I am now accepting proposals for presentations, which can be emailed to me. These must be geared towards teaching/knowledge-share/workshops within the Egyptian Pantheon only. The first Symposium was wonderfully successful, and in listening to the feedback, we decided to extend it a day, to allow for more downtime and connecting with friends. Proposal deadline is February 28th, 2015. This is also true for entertainment proposals. In the coming months, the website will be revamped and more announcements made.

The Feast of Hathor and Min - Final Schedule Posted

I am delighted to bring to you the final schedule for the Symposium, where only minor changes have been made. As final preparations are made this week at Isis Oasis, we begin the meditations of visualizing the success of that which we have worked on all spring and summer, as harvest season looms. We invite you to stroll the grounds when you arrive, visit the beautiful birds (the Macaws are especially verbal these days, sometimes even calling "Lora!" after our Great Lady Loreon), and take a walk in the Ankh Labyrinth. We are overwhelmed by a great crop of Isis Candy Tomatoes, so feel free to pick them off the vine and taste their sweetness as you visit the garden.

We have a full tract of programming, beginning at 4pm on Friday evening, with Motherbear presenting God and Goddess charades - test your knowledge and learn at the same time with this fun exploration of attributes and magicality. Not to be missed after, is Miguel Elliott's presentation of slides that will show you his work on the Memorial Bench for Lady Loreon, located in front of her house, which will also welcome visitors to the new Gallery when it is complete later this year, which will feature Loreon's lifetime of artwork.

Dinner will be a glorious affair; don't forget to dress as your favorite God or Goddess, and be prepared to speak a sentence or two about who you are and why you chose them. We will begin with a blessing of Hathor and Min, as a Feast Day beginning, and go around the room with introductions. After getting to know one another and with bellies full, we'll go to the Grand Temple to enjoy an amazing performance by Sausan, one of the best Belly-dancers and instructors around. You'll be inspired, no doubt, to join her workshop on Saturday to learn some of her famous moves.

As if this would not be enough to tickle your imagination and get your Goddess juices flowing - our evening will close with a beautiful visual presentation with guided meditations by Celestine Star. For more details on these opening events, please visit our Schedule page.

Don't forget to peruse our Vendors! Saturday will be the big day for purchases, though Friday will have some set up and ready to go as well. Most take credit cards, though cash is always preferred for smaller purchases. Annie Waters will have gorgeous Goddess clothing, Helen McCrae will have her impressive store of Egyptian goods and some clothing, Rosie Echelmeier's much coveted crowns and circlets will be available for purchase, as well as our Isis Oasis staff Aviary Expert, Mendi, will be doing Henna. The Isis Oasis store still has a limited number of Loreon's enamelcraft rainbow necklaces and pins. She made these with her own hands, and they are inexpensive keepsakes for you to remember her by.

The weather has been mostly hot days, and cool nights. The 10 Day forecast states we may have a break from the super-heat, and enjoy weather in the 80's by day, and mid-to-upper 50s by night. Dress appropriately, and remember to drink lots of water. Water stations will be set up in the Pavilion and Grand Temple to aid your thirst.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Otherwise, I will see you soon!

August Updates and Vendors

We are pleased to announce that two presenters that originally had been unable to attend the Symposium, have cleared the obstacles that prevented confirming them publicly, to ensure they can be here (this was no small task for Mana Youngbear). Marylyn Motherbear and Mana Youngbear have been added to our curriculum as originally intended, for your learning pleasure.

We have added information about our Memorial Isis Bench being built by Miguel Elliott, which will bear an inscription dedicated to Lady Loreon Vigne and will greet weary travelers on their way from the front of Loreon's driveway, next to the garden, on to the soon-to-be-renovated Gallery (we hope to open this during Convocation, and feature Lady Loreon's artwork, enamel work, paintings, and stained glass). Attendees will be able to place small glass stones into the decorative areas of the bench, and place a hand print on the back.

Also added to this site is the Vendor's section, which includes Rosie Elchelmeier's famous Spirit of the Goddess crowns and circlets, as well as Isis Oasis staffer and Mistress of the Aviary Mendi, who will be doing henna for attendees. If you have an interest in vending, please let me know. We would be delighted to get you involved.

We look forward to greeting you in person soon!

Our Revised Schedule is Now Posted

Please take a moment to review our Revised Schedule, which incorporates some shifts in timing and presentations, allowing for the High Holy Ritual on Saturday night to be dedicated to a formal memorial to our late co-hostess, Lady Loreon Vigne, Archpriestess in the Temple of Isis and Fellowship of Isis, and creator/proprietress of Isis Oasis. This is the first of two memorials; the second one will occur at Convocation this October, and will be opened to the general public.

Many of you have had questions on how to make reservations after Loreon's passing, and this may be accomplished in the same ways as before - via telephone or online. If you wish to verify a prior reservation made before her passing, please feel free to do so. We are happy to accommodate you and any questions.

We look forward to seeing you in August!

Honoring our Late Archpriestess, Lady Loreon Vigne

It is with sad tidings that we announce today the passing of Lady Loreon Vigne into her journey beyond the veil on July 15th. As she enters the care of Anubis, on her journey to the land of Osiris, we have been holding her noon ceremonies and vigils here at Isis Oasis HQ. She has taught and touched many, and continues to do so with her spirit, within the Temple of Isis and beyond. As co-hostess of this Symposium, Loreon had a hand in creating each and every aspect of it, and we will continue her work throughout the event, being true to her spirit and zest for knowledge, and the sharing of that knowledge.

In addition, we will have a special High Holy Ceremony honoring the life and work of our Great Lady, celebrating her life and artistry. This formal ceremony will be a precursor to a second honoring at our Annual Convocation, where new Priestesses and Priests are ordained into the Temple of Isis and Fellowship of Isis.

In the coming weeks, we will be finalizing our schedule (preliminary is posted, and there are changes being made as I type). Please check back soon for the announcement of final details, presenters, and timing for our memorial. I am especially thankful to Leslie and deTraci for their tireless work in keeping the Temple of Isis and Isis Oasis running smoothly through this transition and beyond, moving forward with Loreon's legacy into the future.

We hope to see you in August and October to grow within the Light of Goddess, Isis of 10,000 Names. May her light inspire you always.

May Isis Bless You,

Deadline for Presenter Proposals is May 15, 2014

Happy Spring, and new beginnings. The blood moon and Lunar Eclipse was spectacular to behold, and we are taking advantage of the affirmations and magic within it, to plant the seeds we need this year and next, for success. With that said, our deadline for presenter proposals is fast approaching. All persons accepted will be posted in our links section, as well as their bios and photos in our presenters section. Feel free to browse those we have already confirmed. We will be posting specifics about each presentation with a schedule in late May. Feel free to email me with any questions, or ideas for your programming.

Call For Presenters

Greetings and warm blessings from Geyserville, California!

We are very excited about our community driven event this August, and would like to invite you to participate, as well as present. Is there something you do uniquely well within your Goddess/God worship, ritual, or teachings, that you would like to share with others on the Isian path? We are looking for Priestesses and Priests in the Temple of Isis, Fellowship of Isis, or other Egyptian Pantheonistic practice to help broaden our gifts and knowledge, so that we can continue the tradition of helping others well-round their skill sets. So many liturgies, so little time!

As a community, we have so many wonderful practitioners that have very specific skills that many others would like to learn. Have you ever seen a ritual or event and wondered, "How does she do that? Where can I learn to do it?" The Inner Sanctum Symposium is all about those Infinite Possibilities. At a time when Isis is making herself more known than ever in the modern past, achieving our goals in seeking her wisdom often lies within the wisdom of others.

We invite you to send us an email with a brief (paragraph or two) biography and a proposed workshop, ritual, or lecture for our event. As this website is under construction, we will be adding presenters to our growing list, and making the programming tract as complete as possible. Whether it is Tarot, obscure Goddess/God knowledge, specific tools or meditations you have to offer, we want to hear from you. We are inclusionary, not exclusionary. Our only requirements are:

--You must be a practicing ordained priestess or priest (credentials may be checked)
--Your presentation must include an Egyptian-centric theme
--You must commit to being present for the full weekend (though you do not have to attend or participate in all presentations, it is encouraged)
--You must be kind and considerate of others

Presenters will be compensated with one night and one day of free room and board (accommodations in the Nesu House at Isis Oasis, a continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner). There will not be competing presentations, so our attendees will be able to participate in everything, if they wish.

Please email Rain with your information as indicated above, and after we have had time to review your proposal, Rain and Lady Loreon will be making the final decisions on programming. Space is limited, so please let us know if you wish to present as soon as possible. We will post again when all slots are filled, but expect this to be an organic process. Presenters may wish to present more than one workshop if there is space available.

We look forward to hearing from you, and seeing you in August!
